Overview of the course
The RIHM 1-Year Diploma in Hotel Management is a practical and industry-oriented program designed to prepare students for a career in the hospitality industry. The course combines theory, practical training, professional grooming and real hotel exposure. Students begin with 2 months of classroom and practical training covering Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office, Housekeeping, communication, grooming, hygiene and basic hotel operations, followed by 6 months of Industrial Training in a hotel, where they gain hands-on experience in real hospitality operations and learn professional SOPs, guest handling, teamwork and departmental procedures. The final 4 months focus on advanced theory, practical training, industry skills and career preparation, followed by examinations and OJT/industry exposure. The program is designed to provide students with the right combination of knowledge, practical skills and industry experience to begin their careers in hotels, resorts, restaurants and other hospitality establishments.
